Some really interesting discussions going on ready for a week-on-Saturday gathering on the proposed future framework for The Lord's Lunch.
The issue of groups being too small or large has predictably featured high on the concern list - this is so often the sensitive point for any group which has experienced rapid growth.
Peter (who is an educational psychologist by background) has offered some helpful insights on the potential of "groups of three" or Trios which I have made links with as a missional force with some insights from Renovare groups.
This means that we are heading down the route of trios which can grow to a maximum of six before becoming 2 trios again with a least one of the original trio in each group.
"Trios" intrigue me as a missional tool - precisely for the reason that trios never work with school friends - they have an instability and edginess to the them which is essential outward facing.
Tonight I was wondering during a time of reflection at the Ash Wednesday Eucharist whether that is the internal genius and dynamic of the Trinity - triggered by the thought of what the Father and the Son were experiencing when Jesus was going The Temptations.
