Was really intrigued to read of this proud entry on Dolphin Music's site which leaves me wondering who advises Gordon Brown on his choice of advisers.
Gordon Brown has held a roundtable discussion with entrepreneurs and small business owners today to learn more about enterprise culture in Britain and canvass views on the development of the Government's renewed enterprise framework.
Opening the discussions, the PM, highlighted the differences between Britain and America, where he said more people started up their own businesses, especially women. Mr Brown went on to say that enterprise culture in Britain was changing and that there were exciting times ahead.
The PM added that despite the buffeting from problems affecting the US economy, the UK had many positive attributes, including stability in the economy and a global reach that will make make Britain stronger in the years to come. There was a "dynamism and confidence" about the future, he said.
The meeting took place in the Cabinet room at Number 10 this morning and included Rob Williams, co-founder of Dolphin Music, Richard Reed, co-founder of Innocent Smoothies and Peter Jones, founder of Phones International Group and panellist on Dragons' Den since 2005.
The Government's new enterprise strategy is expected to be published in the Spring.
I would have thought that the Government would have learnt the lesson from Blair's time in office about extravagant claims and late deliveries without taking lessons from the boss of Dolphin Music.
In my most recent experience of Dolphin's model of enterprise ( and shockingly bad delivery practice) I finally got my Christmas present on the 10th of January - but it is great fun KOKO!!
As I have previously warned people Dolphin's internet business practice includes the company policy of charging your card when you place the order even though they do not have the item in stock and no real idea when they can deliver. So check before you place the order that they have the item in stock in their Liverpool Warehouse.
Sadly the Stylphone is not only desirable item which Dolphin are the only UK distributors - there also have stranglehold on the wonderful range of "Reverend Guitars"!
A little off topic in the theological sense, but it may be a relief to you to know that the afore-mentioned 'stranglehold on Reverend Guitars' has now been broken, so rejoice! As musicians we know just how good they are and carry all of the main models, so if there if you're looking for anything in particular, get in touch and we'll tell you what we've got or when we can get it.
Have a look on the Reverend Guitars International Dealers page under United Kingdown and you'll find us.
