I have often thought that the real split in the Worldwide Anglican Church is not between those who hold that same sex relationships are blessed by God and those that don't, but between those who have a profoundly Anglican ecclesiology which allows for difference of opinion and even of doctrine and those who don't.
I was therefore interested to read a provocatively entitled article in Christianity Today called " Living with Tares " from Bishop Edward Little II about why he stays within the Episcopal Church while profoundly disagreeing with the recent trends to liberalism as he sees them.
Here is sound Anglican ecclesiology moderating other tendencies - one wishes that certain African Archbishops had similar wisdom.
I think you are right in your assessment of the situation and it is quite sad to see at times. Enjoy your site.
